Assistance from the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and Capital Region Economic Development Corp. have helped a Dauphin County countertop maker to rock on in two locations.

Classic Rock Fabrication, a wholesale stone fabrication business located in Lower Paxton Township, partnered with The Chamber & CREDC this fall on a project to obtain financing for the purchase of the company’s leased space at 931 Dana Drive. The company had been looking to buy for years.

Construction Executive

When we decided to open our second location in Fall 2016, we selected Pittsburgh because we saw the need for a company with our unique business model. Our primary location is in Central Pennsylvania, and we have covered construction projects in the surrounding areas of Maryland, New Jersey and Delaware.

By opening a manufacturing plant in Pittsburgh, we created opportunities to capture work within the new markets of western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.

CPBJ – Design Center Opening

Alex Bazdar is ready to rock the West Shore.

The 35-year-old CEO is bringing his East Shore company, Classic Rock Fabrication, to Mechanicsburg next month as part of a longterm expansion plan.

The stone countertop maker is opening a new design studio on Oct. 12 at 135 W. Allen St., the site of the former Eberly Lumber Co.

“There is a whole group of business out there that we just weren’t absorbing because we weren’t located 25 minutes west,” said Bazdar, who hopes to attract more business in fast-growing Cumberland County. His company is based in Lower Paxton Township.

CPBJ – Design Center Opens

Classic Rock Fabrication opened the Classic Rock Design Center last month in Mechanicsburg.

Classic Rock Fabrication has opened a showroom in the area where it all began for the 12-year-old company.

The granite and quartz wholesale company opened as a three-person business in the Mechanicsburg area back in 2006, and later moved to the Harrisburg area. But, last month Classic Rock moved its showroom to 135 W. Allen St. in Mechanicsburg in the former Eberly Lumber building after more than a year of renovations.
